The 540 years old portrait of the Ottoman Empire's Sultan Mehmed II.
The painting commissioned by Fatih Sultan Mehmet to Italian painter Gentile Bellini in 1480 was purchased by Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (İBB) at an auction held in London on June 25, 2020, and brought to Istanbul. It is now on display in a special exhibition case and open to visitors.
