ZEYREK CINILI HAMAM MUSEUM

The 500-year-old historical Cinili Hamam Museum , which underwent restoration for over 10 years, opened in September 2023.

One of the most important examples of Ottoman bath architecture, Cinili Hamam was commissioned by Barbaros Hayrettin Pasha to Mimar Sinan in the 1540s. With this project, the exhibition of thousands of valuable historical artefacts including numerous ceramic pieces is made possible in the historic building using Fibula museum display cases. The museum, with its contemporary design complementing the architecture of the bathhouse, houses artefacts and objects dating back to the 5th century and can be traced step by step to the 20th century.

Cinili Hamam, featured in an article by The New York Times and won a "Spatial Experience- Exhibition" Silver Award from Art Directors Club (ADC) for creative works within the project. Additionally, it has been selected for TIME's list of World's Most Amazing Places in 2024.

Designed and carried out by Atelier Brückner, Cinili Hamam Museum combines traditional bathhouse experience with museum visits to present exhibited objects harmoniously with space and digital media within this historic structure providing visitors with a unique experience.

Including showcases, artefact pedestals, artefact hangers , display solutions specially developed for artefacts and placement of them were carried out by Fibula.
